Ellen Olenska (Natural & Black)
All my hats are unique and one of a kind, but this is another level of exclusivity because it is a brand new style I added to my repretoire. The brim is around four inches. It is made from a fiber native to the Philippines called "buntal". The crown is a sewn hemp braid. It is a band of Swiss Raffia accented with goose feathers. Although it is a new style, I have been practicing the art of it and did not introduce it until it projected its potential that this style deserves.
Inspired by literary figure, Ellen, the main character in Edith Wharton's, The Age of Innocence. Ellen projects elegance and resourcefullness, just like this piece.
